Where Would You Go If You Could Live Anywhere?
If you love those “what would you do?” conversations, this one on The Bobby Bones Show was a good one.
Eddie was sitting at a bar after work with a coworker when he started talking to a waitress. She mentioned it was her last week on the job. When Eddie asked what she was doing next, she said she was moving to Thailand to teach English to kids.
Just like that.
She told him she was single, didn’t have ties to Nashville, and was ready for something new. She was leaving the very next week. Eddie said he found it inspiring. He even admitted he felt a little jealous of the freedom she had to just pack up and go.
That got the whole show thinking. If they were 20 years old, single, and could move anywhere in the world for a year, where would they go?
Eddie said Fiji. He pictured himself working near the water, maybe helping on boats, and just enjoying island life while figuring things out.
Amy chose France. She said she’s never been and would love to teach English there for a year.
Lunchbox picked Australia. He imagined working at a small beach shop or bookstore and learning more about the culture. Honestly, that tracks.
Then it was Bobby’s turn. Instead of some faraway country, he chose Fayetteville, Arkansas. He said he would teach TV, podcasting, and radio at the University of Arkansas. He’d live near campus and go to every sporting event he could.
The crew joked about his pick, but Bobby stood by it. He said he’s already traveled a lot and would rather spend a year somewhere he loves.
