Eddie From Bobby Bones Show Talks Parenting
Eddie questioned the Bobby Bones Show on an ethical dilemma he was in recently at his son's basketball game.
When kids play basketball, a parent is often the one asked to keep the stats for the game. They sit at the score table and write everything down throughout the game. When one team gets 7 fouls, the other team is in the bonus and needs to shoot free throws. Well, Eddie was keeping stats and his son's team was down 10 points and had already exceeded their limit of fouls, but he was the only one with eyes on the stats. So in order for Eddie's son's team to have a chance at a comeback, he had to keep his mouth shut. Normally the stats keeper alerts the referee when one team has 7 fouls so the other team can shoot. However, Eddie chose not to say anything.
Eddie justified his action by saying the referee should have known they had hit 7 fouls, but Bobby and Lunchbox disagreed. Bobby added that this isn't a question of right or wrong, it's wrong. However, he did pose the question of "would you do it?" Bobby and Lunchbox admitted they weren't better than doing something like this for their kids to have a chance at winning.
