Can A Financial Planner Save Eddie And Lunchbox’s Futures?
Abby’s Boyfriend Tries to Help Eddie and Lunchbox With Money Stuff
So, earlier this month, Abby had an idea. Her boyfriend is a financial planner (that means he helps people make smart choices with their money), and she thought maybe he could help Eddie and Lunchbox. Why? Because, well... their money plans are kind of a mess.

Right now, neither of them has a 401(k) for retirement (that’s a special savings account for when you’re older), and they’re not really saving or investing. That’s kind of a big deal, especially since they’re both in their 40s and have kids. A bunch of people on the show — and listeners too — were like, “Whoa, they should probably figure this out.”
So Abby offered up her boyfriend to help them get things together.
Are You Planning for Your Future Yet?
At first, both Eddie and Lunchbox weren’t too sure. But today on The Bobby Bones Show, they shared how they feel now after thinking about it a bit.
Eddie said he and his wife talked it over, and they decided no thanks. They’re worried that if Abby and her boyfriend break up someday (yikes), things could get awkward. Totally fair!
But Lunchbox is actually kind of into it. He said he’s cool with meeting Abby’s boyfriend — but he doesn’t want to show him any of his actual money stuff yet. Just a chill, no-numbers meeting to start. Baby steps!
Now It’s Your Turn!
What about you? Are you saving for the future? Even if you’re not close to retiring like some people (looking at you, Bobby!), it’s never too early to start. A 401(k) can help you save money with some nice tax perks — plus, it’s like a little treasure chest you don’t open until you're older.
