While Amy was going through her divorce, she didn't share any of the details on The Bobby Bones Show.

Over a year after it happened, Amy talked about her divorce and some of the details around it. There was something that happened during her divorce that she never talked about until today (November 10). There was someone, likely a listener of the show, who reached out to her pretending to be a reporter from her hometown. The reporter claimed they wanted to write a story on her as an alumni and where she is now. However the reporter started asking Amy to share specific details about her personal life, including marital status.

Amy thought that was bizarre to include for a news article, so she raised a red flag. When she looked into things deeper, she realized the person wasn't a reporter for the news outlet they were claiming to be writing for. The situation made Amy really uncomfortable, especially because she wasn't ready to share the news about her divorce publicly and this was clearly someone trying to gain personal information to share.
