Talk about bad timing! On the same day The Bobby Bones Show was chatting about injuries that mean you should see a doctor ASAP, Eddie’s wife ended up with one of her own.

She was at their kids’ baseball practice, sitting in the bleachers and chatting with another mom, when someone hit a foul ball that came straight for her. It nailed her square on the top of the head—hard. Eddie said she told him it felt like getting hit with a bat. But being the tough mom she is, she stayed for the rest of practice, drove the kids home, and didn’t make a big deal out of it.

When Eddie got home, the kids ran to tell him what happened. His wife still insisted she was fine—just needed to lie down. But that kind of impact isn’t something you just “walk off.” A doctor friend told them that while there’s not much to do for a concussion, they should watch for any signs of stroke or brain bleed, just to be safe.

Thankfully, she’s doing okay now! It was a scary reminder that injuries can sneak up fast, even at a simple ball game.
