Liberty’s Troops Turn Sorrow Into Support For Families Of Sick Children With Day Of Fun!
Liberty Amdahl was a beautiful, typical toddler. I imagine she loved her dollies, all things pink & princessy, of course her mom and dad- – and life. But life being what it is, isn’t always the dream you have with the outcome you hope for. Liberty passed away when she was 2 & 1/2 from cancer.
Liberty’s parents, Cody and Leanne wanted to honor their beloved daughter’s memory and formed Liberty’s Troops to help other families like theirs, with small children battling serious diseases. They provide direct family support with travel vouchers, grocery and medical expense assistance too. If you know a family in this kind of situation, fill out the nomination form here.
To provide funds for this organization, Liberty’s Troops are hosting their 2nd Annual Family Fun Day on Saturday, July 19th in Flandreau City Park from 1 to 5 pm. They’ll have food, inflatables, bean bag and washoo tournaments, train rides, pony hops and more. The cost is $15 for all day access to the inflatables and $40 to enter the tournaments. (Team registration is from Noon to 1 pm).
