Just when you think you've heard it all, or most of it, a story like this comes along.

Late last Friday night, around 11:00 pm, someone came into a convenience store on North Cliff Avenue and helped herself to a money jar on the counter.

The jar at Cubby's Gas Stop was for people to donate to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of South Dakota, an organization that grants wishes to seriously ill children. That's the same organization that benefits from Hot Harley Nights, the event that brought hundreds of motorcyclists to Sioux Falls.

And this woman thought she needed the money more than sick kids.

I don't think anyone will care about what her motivation might have been. She was wrong, no two ways about it.

Let's hope surveillance video at the store will help police solve the crime.
