The Minnesota Vikings didn't have a pick on Thursday night during the first round, but their day two selections seemed to pass the public test.

Minnesota traded a 4th round pick (they had two 4th round picks entering this year) to move up in the 2nd round to select Florida State running back Dalvin Cook. Cook was given a 6.28 rating by NFL.com and his NFL comparison is listed as Edgerrin James.

In the 3rd round, the Vikings decided to try and sure-up the offensive line by taking a center out of The Big Ten. Pat Elflein, Ohio State, was selected by the Vikings with the 70th overall pick. He was given a 5.8 rating by NFL.com, which was the best among centers listed.

NFL Network Analyst Mike Mayock really likes the pick of Pat Elflein.

The Twitter reaction to the Dalvin Cook selection was met with fans of other teams being upset that the Vikings took him, and Vikings fans being excited.

Day three of the NFL Draft will be a busy one for the Vikings. They will have three picks in the 4th round (109, 120, 132), one pick in the 6th round (199), and three picks in the 7th round (219, 232, 245).
