I love to hear what people do for 'their job.'  If you listen to Kickin' Country you know two of the questions I almost always ask are, 'where are you at,' and 'what are you doing?' With that in mind I came up with a story that you'll be seeing a lot of in the future at KIKN.com and most of the information is going to come from you 'the listeners!'

With that in mind, here is our first edition of Picture and a Paragraph.

Rob Gran sent us this picture.  I've been talking to Rob for years as he drives around the midwest delivering motors.  I never really knew what he was hauling till he sent a picture.

Rob hauls equipment for an electric company.  Today he happened to be hauling a generator.  What you see is actually part of the 'guts' of a electricity generating windmill that we see popping up all over the country.  This is actually the internal part that is 'up on the windmill' inside the housing behind the blades.  Rob says it's about 4 or 4 1/2 feet tall so you get an idea how big it is.  He says it weighs more than 9000 pounds.  Now when Rob Calls I know what he's hauling.

My next question would be, 'how the heck do they get something that heavy up that high.'  If you do that for a living, let me know and we'll pass it along, with a picture and a paragraph.

Picture and a Paragraph-1

We'll have a form coming soon. For now, if you have a picture and a paragraph just send it to jdcollins@kikn.com.
