Lincoln Band Gets Extra TV Coverage
The Sioux Falls Lincoln High SchoolÂ band is marching in the 2013 Tournament of Roses Parade next Tuesday morning, and while all of the major networks will provide us with a ‘glimpse’ of the Patriot band, one network is giving viewers even more.
RFD-TV is going toÂ air extended coverage of theÂ LincolnÂ band during itsÂ coverage of the 2013 Tournament of Roses ParadeÂ with sixÂ high-definition cameras lined up along both Orange Grove and Colorado Boulevard providing over two minutes of time on the band and its members.
In addition, RFD-TVÂ is devotingÂ an entire segment of its “Pre-Parade” Special to the Patriot bandÂ with footage and interviews shot on location in Sioux Falls and Pasadena as the 245 member group prepared for the experience.
The “Pre-Parade” Special airs from 9am-10amÂ New Yearâs morning, followed immediately by RFD-TVâsÂ 2-hourÂ coverage of the 124th Tournament of Roses Parade.Â The theme for this year’s parade isÂ ”Oh, The Places Youâll Goâ¦” The Lincoln Band will be #51 in the 92 entry lineup, putting it near the start of the second hour of theÂ parade.
RFD-TV can beÂ seen on DIRECTV channel 345, DISH Network channel 231 & 232, and on Mid-Continent cable on channel 131.
