Laid-back hitmaker Darius Rucker announced this week that his sixth-annual Darius Rucker and Friends benefit concert for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will once again kick off Nashville's yearly summer bash, CMA Fest.

The 2015 event is set for June 8 at the Wildhorse Saloon.

Through the years, the concert has raised more than $439,000 for the life-saving pediatric care provider and featured country frontrunners like Luke Bryan, Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum, Jamey Johnson, Dustin Lynch, Justin Moore and even Kenny Rogers — just to name a few. This year's star-studded lineup will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Tickets for the show go on sale March 13, 2015 at 11AM CT, available through the Wildhorse Saloon box office (615-902-8200 x1), wildhorsesaloon.com and dariusrucker.com.

On June 9, Rucker will compete in the Darius and Friends Celebrity Golf Tournament, which combined with the concert and corresponding auction raised more than $120,000 for St. Jude in 2014, soaring past the amounts raised in preceding years. Rucker hopes to once again surpass the current record of funds donated to the facility. St. Jude is one of the leading hospitals in treatment and research developments for pediatric cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

In addition to securing the lineup for his charity event, the singer is putting the finishing touches on his fourth country solo album. Southern Style — which features the single "Homegrown Honey" — is due out March 31.
