A $1 million Powerball ticket was sold in Sioux Falls for Wednesday night's drawing. A group of 28 employees at Beal Distributing are claiming the prize. That could be one hell of a kegger!

On the same night, a winning Dakota cash ticket was sold in Sioux Falls for the over $118,000 jackpot! Lucky night in the city, indeed.

The next Powerball drawing is Saturday night and is estimated at nearly $500 million! Good luck!

According to the scanner, police were called to 57th and Louise Wednesday night to talk with a few youth who were reportedly handling a flame thrower by the street. Dudes...why? Qdoba is... like...right there! Need something hot? Go on in!

A Spencer, Iowa, man fired a gun through the roof of his mobile home and shot his T.V., police said. Todd Huddleston, 47, was charged with reckless use of a firearm. (source) No word on what he was watching on TV but I'm guessing it wasn't a firearm safety video...

Sioux Falls police are on the lookout for a 4-door maroon car with a loud muffler. the driver is wanted for an attempted kidnapping of a 17-year old girl at the Empire mall on Monday morning. The girl was able to get away and call police from Applebees inside the mall and give a description of the man. He is described as a black man in his 20s, slender build and having short hair.

Mitchell is the latest South Dakota city to enforce a no texting-and-driving ban. Mitchell will join Sioux Falls, Brookings, Huron, Vermillion and Watertown, which already have similar laws for motorists.

Welcome to the Yogi Bear Campground and Nightclub. Kidding...but alcohol will now be served for campers as the popular camping spot in Sioux Falls, just off I-90, has acquired a liquor license. Yogi will now move forward with plans to build a tiki bar this summer. South Dakota wines will also be available.
