Bond was set at $75,000 for man accused of hauling 24 pounds of pot through South Dakota. He was picked up on I-90 near Rapid City on Sunday. Let's see...speeding in a rental car and a trunk load of pot. What could go wrong?

The West Mall 7 Theater is getting an upgrade. get ready for a state-of-the-art projection system, reclining seats, and new curtains. The theater will continue to be open throughout the renovations.

Final tree branch pickup west of Minnesota ave begins on May 13; east of Minnesota begins on May 20 so have the branched ready for the city's 2nd pass in Operation Timber Strike.

There has been an alarming increase in car break-ins in may and authorities are reminding residents to make sure your car doors remained locked when parked outside and never leave purses and wallets in the vehicle overnight. And, according to Sioux Falls police, there has also been an increase in people valuables being taken from grocery carts while unattended.

Elizabeth Renner of Crooks was presented with a $10,000 National Scholarship by the National Wild Turkey Federation. She was chosen from hundreds of entrants nationwide. Renner is a senior at West Central High School in Hartford with a 4.0 GPA. She plans to major in Wildlife Management at Augustana College. - Keloland.com
