Paramount is revving up an exciting new project. The studio's division Paramount Players has put a Grease prequel into development. The project is called Summer Loving and they tapped writer John August, the veteran writer behind Big Fish and Charlie and The Chocolate Factory.

The film is said to be based on the song "Summer Nights" from the original movie and follow the story of Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson when they first met and fell in love. Their summer romance would be the full storyline of the movie.

While there has been no cast or director announced yet, we're eager to find out who can fill in the shoes of John Travolta for Danny and Olivia Newton-John for Sandy. Until then, check out this video of our own Bobby Bones reliving his role of Danny Zuko from a school play.
