BISMARCK, N.D. - All of North Dakota has been placed under a winter storm warning, and a blizzard warning has been issued for central and southeastern portions of the state, as heavy snow moves across the area.

The National Weather Service says snow will continue to develop across western and southern North Dakota and then spread east and north. Some places in central North Dakota could get more than 15 inches of snow.

The North Dakota Transportation Department advised no travel in the Dickinson and Bismarck areas early Sunday.

Snow also is expected to fall across northern South Dakota, with freezing rain in the northeast.

Xcel Energy said it has restored power to all but 2,200 customers in eastern South Dakota. Some 90,000 customers lost power in last week's snow and ice storm.
