Denny Sanford PREMIER Center Warns Sioux Falls of Scams
One of the biggest Sioux Falls concerts of the year (and ever in the city) is getting plenty of attention for the wrong reasons.
Last week, it was announced that pop star P!nk will be headlining the 10th Anniversary concert at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. The Sioux Empire is scrambling to snatch these hot tickets...including scammers.
P!nk is set to take the stage at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center on Monday, October 21st. Before the big concert announcement, officials with the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center warned future concert-goers that these tickets would be pricey. Naturally, Sioux Empire concert-goers are trying to find the best deal possible. Even if it means "talking" to complete strangers online.
On the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center's Facebook page, the team posted Facebook Stories about ticket buyers getting scammed for a chance to obtain P!nk tickets. These scammers are reaching out to Sioux Empire P!nk fans saying they "won tickets" to this epic show through the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.
Officials with the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center want to remind concert-goers of signs of ticket scammers:
- The account the concert venue uses on Facebook is this one. The spelling is a huge sign of scams. "Denny Sanford PREMIER Center" is the name of its Facebook page.
- They will "NOT notify winners for giveaways in the comments" on its Facebook page.
- If someone asks you for "extra registration," chances are the scammers are asking for more money.
- ALWAYS verify the website address! Never assume the link is correct.
You can never be too careful! Especially when scammers are this ruthless.
