Ask and you might, don't and you won't!

Are you a salesperson?  Perhaps a successful business owner?  Chances are you owe this man a bit of thanks.  Today we learned that Zig Ziglar had died at the age of 86.

It's ironic that Zig passes away on the day we have the biggest Powerball Lottery drawing in history.  I can hear him now, "think of the possibilities."

If you are a young salesperson, or have a child who is trying to make it in the world of sales and you haven't read any of his books, Get To The Store!

According to the website Christianity Today:

The Dallas Morning News has posted a photo gallery. Ziglar's passing was announced on his Facebook page:

Zig Ziglar passed from this world today after a short bout with pneumonia. Though his time on earth has ended, he is speaking with Jesus now in his heavenly home. The angels in heaven are rejoicing and his family is celebrating a life well lived.

The guy was a genius.  A 'common man' with 'uncommon sense'.

Don Jacobs, Market Manager for Results Radio-Townsquare Media here in Sioux Falls has actually spent time with Ziglar.  Jake, was kind enough to take a few minutes today to write a couple lines.

"I had the wonderful opportunity to see Zig Zigglar at least 6 times over the years.  The first time I saw him I thought to myself....THIS man really cares about helping me get better. Once when I was attending a 2 day Zig Workshop in Dallas,  I was invited to his home in Plano, Texas and spent some time with him. He asked me if I'd open the next mornings session with a prayer.  I was so nervous thinking about it I didn't get to sleep until about 3:00 in the morning.  He really made a difference. Thanks Zig."

Any of his books would be a great gift idea this holiday season if you are in sales or a leadership position.  Or even if you "just want to feel better."

You can bet right now, that Zig is looking for the 'gate-keeper', trying to get an appointment, with the real decision maker.
