I enjoy my conversations with Donnette Patterson. She calls occasionally to catch me up on things going on with her family members in the Wagner/Lake Andes area. The last time she called, she had something a bit different to talk about, It's the Yankton Sioux Tribe 2018 METH Awareness Initiative. The event is in progress with daily sessions from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the Wagner Armory in Wagner, South Dakota.

Patterson says it's 3 days of listening, learning and networking as we arm ourselves with powerful knowledge to battle against the evil drug they call METH.

Presentations by representatives from the BIA, FBI, Tribal and City Police, Drug Investigation Task Force, Highway Patrol, Tribal Court and more.

The flyer for event best sums  it up;

They say that all that is necessary for evil to succeed is for good people to do nothing. Please join us as we come together to do something. We cannot do it alone!  Please get involved. The conference is free and open to the public.
