Woman’s Murder in Sioux Falls Apparently Linked to Drugs
The City of Sioux Falls now has another murder on their hands. A 53-year old woman was murdered Wednesday afternoon at 5605 West Misty Glen Place in southwest Sioux Falls. According to a Sioux Falls Police report, initially, police and emergency services were called to the home at 3:31 p.m. due to a report for fatal injury. Witnesses saw a man leave the home and then obtained a license plate number and description of the car. Less than a half hour later the car and suspect were found at a home in the 2800 block of South Theodore Avenue.
The victim was identified as Brenda Lynn Hansen. Police say Hansen was killed by a man she knows but was not romantically involved with because he wanted her Oxycontin.
Police are looking for a bag with a knife and gloves. The knife and gloves will likely be covered in blood. If you find them, please call the Sioux Falls Police Department.
