Why You Might See Something Strange on Your Bank Statement if you Attended the Summit League Tournaments

Patrons who purchased items at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center concessions stands on March 5-6 during the Summit League Basketball Tournament might see multiple charges on their bank statements for the same transaction.

The glitch affects customers who used their debit or credit cards when purchasing items from Spectra Food Services and Hospitality, the PREMIER Center’s contracted food and beverage vendor.

Chad Stoner, General Manager of Spectra, says some patrons may see duplicate charges on their bank account appearing as a pending charge and not as an actual debit to their account.

The pending charges will disappear in 24-48 hours after the purchase and will not become an actual withdrawal.

“We are aware that a problem within our system has caused patrons who purchased food and beverage at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center to show charges on their accounts they did not make,” Stoner says. “Please rest assured that we are diligently working on a solution. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.”
