The 15-year-old Sioux Falls girl whose motor scooter collided with an SUV Tuesday morning has been issued two citations.

Police Information Officer Sam Clemens says the teen has been cited for failure to yield for a left turn and not having a valid driver's license to operate the scooter.

The girl suffered two broken ankles when her motorbike and the SUV collided in the intersection of West 12th Street and South Sertoma Avenue around 7:15 Tuesday morning.

Clemens also says she was not wearing a helmet.
