My son-in-law Jim and I were watching the Outback Bowl between Carolina and Michigan.  We were idly chatting, neither of us having a vested interest in the game. But it was close and that's what kept our interest.

Then it happened. With about 8 minutes left in the game, Michigan in the lead 22 to 21, the biggest hit of the weekend occurred.

Jadeveon Clowney, Carolina sophomore, put on a hit that made NFL scouts drool.  Michigan running back Vincent Smith was leveled by Clowney in the backfield, knocking his helmet off and causing a fumble which Clowney recovered.

Carolina scored on the next play giving the Gamecocks a 27-22 lead.  My thanks to ESPN for the video.
