The Lincoln County Commission was affirmed by the voters in their decision to approve larger setbacks for wind turbines giving a fresh look to rules set in 2009.
Tuesday voters decide how close industrial wind towers can be to structures. A vote yes will increase the setback. A vote no will keep the current rules.
According to Dakota Power Community Wind, the Lincoln County Auditor’s office certified a petition that will allow residents to vote on Wind Farms July 18th.
