The University of South Dakota has put the finishing touches on its 2019 football schedule.

The Coyotes have added home games with Montana and Houston Baptist to the slate.

Montana, out of the Big Sky Conference, will come to Vermillion to open the 2019 season, Saturday August 31. The Grizzlies began last season 5-1 before dropping four-of-five to finish 6-5 overall, 3-5 ion conference play.

The 2019 game will be the 19th meeting between the two schools,and the first since 2014. Montana holds a 12-6 lead in the series. As part of the home-and-home contract, USD will play in Missoula in the 2022 season.

Houston Baptist will play in the DakotaDome, Saturday September 14, 2019. The Huskies, out of the Southland Conference, finished 4-7 last year. This will be the first meeting between the two schools.

With those two additions, the 2019 USD schedule is now complete. The Coyotes will play six home games for the first time since 2014, and in week two, will play at Oklahoma for the first time.
