Southwest Minnesota roads and highways are closed due to blizzard conditions. As of 3:30 PM I-90 remains open, although travel is difficult due to limited visibility.

Rock, Brown, Cottonwood, Jackson, Martin and Nobles County Officials have pulled the plows from all roads because of visibility. Many roads are blowing in faster than plows can keep up.

Rebecca Arndt, of the Mankato Minnesota Department of Transportation office confirmed the decision to call in the plows until the storm subsides.

A blizzard warning remains in affect until midnight Thursday January 8th for much of Southeastern South Dakota, Southwest Minnesota and Northwestern Iowa.
