Good times with good  friends.  Bake sales.  An auction and a dance.   Sounds like a very good time and when we read the rest of the details it sounds like a very good cause.

Last week we heard from Karen on our KIKN Facebook page that friends of Mike Marsh (Vermillion) we’re planing an event to help out with medical expenses.

Mike Marsh has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and the community is coming together to help out.

They are having a benefit on this Friday, Nov 16th at the Eagle's Club in Vermillion. The event will start at 7:00 pm with a bake sale, auction and tavern supper, followed by entertainment by the Clay Creek Deaf Cowboy Band with proceeds to help out with medical expenses.

It truly is amazing what can be done when people come together to help out in a cause like this and every time we hear of an event like this we are reminded how good we have it.  At Kickin’ Country we are reminded everyday of how our listeners deeply care about their friends.  We hope that If you you know Mike you get out and help in the cause this weekend!

A fund has been set up at Vermillion Credit Union for the Mike Marsh Benefit.
If anyone would like to donate an item either for the bake sale or auction, please feel free to contact teamHOPErocks@yahoo.com.
