Just last night my son and his friends went out fishing. It's that time of year! I was just thinking about fishing and how fun it can be. Sitting on a boat with a couple of friends waiting for a bite.

Last night, my son and a couple of his friends went fishing here in Sioux Falls. They didn't get a bite, but you can bet if they would have went today, they might have talked about this fish.

It's not known if these Japanese fisherman 'caught this extremely rare Megamouth Shark or simply found it.  According to National Post.com

The Megamouth Shark is so rare that when the first one was found in 1976, researchers had to create a whole new species categorization for it.

This particular specimen, caught near Shizuoka, Japan, is one of only 58 Megamouth Sharks ever seen by humans.
