Country artists are friends of the Christmas album, with Lady Antebellum, Brett Eldredge, Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton and countless more all releasing compilations of their favorite holiday tunes. And one day, Kelsea Ballerini hopes to add her name to that list.

Backstage at the taping for 2016's CMA Country Christmas special, the "Peter Pan" singer told media that one of her many aspirations is to record a Christmas album.

“I would love to do a Christmas album one day. It’s been on my goal list for a while,” she says, according to Sounds Like Nashville. “I just want to make sure I do it at the right time and I would love to write some Christmas songs. I haven’t had time to write even a second record yet. So down the road, I would to when I have time. But I have a mad love for Christmas music, for sure.”

Ballerini further showcased her love for the holidays during her CMA Country Christmas performance, appearing alongside musical prodigy Joey Alexander to sing "My Favorite Things" on Nov. 28. The country singer called the 12-year-old piano star "incredible" and "inspiring for me as a musician."

Ballerini's first headlining tour continues through early December.
