Harrisburg Days, One of Summer’s Best Kept Secrets
The Sioux Empire is buzzin’ with so many fun things to do now that summer has finally arrived.
One of the most anticipated events every summer is always “Harrisburg Days” and it’s coming up before you know it. Friday, June 13 through Sunday, June 15th in Harrisburg South Dakota.
Each year Harrisburg Days is always filled with delicious food, great music and tons of fun for the entire family. This year will be no different, as the festivities kick off on Friday, June 13th with a picnic in the park beginning at 5:30 P.M. and music that night from Dustin Evans and Good Times from 8:30 until Midnight.
The fun continues on Saturday with a number events like; a walk/run race starting at 6:30 that morning. A pancake feed, inflatable’s and games for the kids. Shops in the park, a parade at 10:30 in the morning, the Harrisburg Days car show starting at noon and a free concert that night from the nations premier Journey, Styx and REO tribute band, Arch Allies beginning at 9 P.M.
The party wraps up on Sunday with a kids fishing derby from 1:30 until 3:30 that afternoon, followed by “The Hound of Baskervilles” presented by the Harrisburg Area Theatre at 3:30 P.M.
