MINA - A bar in the northeastern South Dakota town of Mina has been destroyed by fire.

Ipswitch Fire Chief Mike Heinz says the fire at Montana's Bar was reported around 10:30 p.m. Sunday night, and firefighters contained the blaze in about two hours before the wind picked up. Heinz told the Aberdeen American News that by the time the firefighters traveled 16 miles from Ipswitch to Mina, the building was engulfed in flames.

Heinz says firefighters stayed overnight to make sure the fire did not flare up again. He says the official cause of the fire has yet to be determined, but it was likely something electrical.

Edmunds County emergency manager Leland Treichel says there were no injuries related to the fire, but one firefighter slipped and twisted his ankle.
