It's a pretty incredible time of year. Your either fresh back from a quick vacation or are planning one. The Fourth of July has passed. Now we have back to school shopping and Fair Season to look forward to.

I love Fair Season. It's not summer, spring fall or winter, it's fair season! The dust, the smell of fair food and the midway too.

It doesn't matter if it's the Sioux Empire Fair or a smaller get together like your local achievement days, it's a great time of year.

In Sioux Falls, we're gearing up for some great Country Concerts. Josh Turner plays the Sioux Empire Fair August 4th. The guy can sing and he has a great lineup of hits.  Should be a great show. August 7th it's Parmalee and Randy Houser. Then Scotty McCreery on August 8th.

The Sioux Empire Fair has recently made all their grandstand shows FREE with paid gate admission. This makes for some of the most affordable Country Concerts you'll see all year.

Other 'fair things' I look forward to? A walk through the Expo Building, just to see the livestock and smell the smells, maybe a quick ride on the ferris wheel and a Pro Rodeo performance.

So, back to meat on a stick. Yep, they'll probably have that on the midway too. Maybe deep fried cool whip or bacon wrapped watermelon. After all, it's fair time!

By the way, this Randy Houser guy that's coming to the fair? He has a new song out. 'Like a Cowboy.' If you like your Country Song with a story...and a movie, you'll love this. 'Share' with your friends!
