Spinsters” is a 75 year tradition of the YWCA where four junior girls and four senior girls from each of the Sioux Falls high schools work to make a difference in their community through volunteer service.

The Spinster program provides life-skills learning for the 32 participants.  In addition to the training, the Spinster committee helps to organize an all high school dance where the girls ask the boys to the dance.  Over 1200 high school students will attend the dance to raise money for programs and services for youth in our community.
