To say that the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center is off to a fast start in its first six months would be an understatement.

Between the many different concerts, sporting events, and other specialty shows, the PREMIER Center has offered variety which has appealed to over 400,000 people. The first expectation, according to the PREMIER Center, for attendance over one year was 500,000 people.

Financially the PREMIER Center is running strong with a reported net income of $1.1 million. The revenue number is factoring in ticket sales, concessions, rental fees, and sponsorships. $962,000 has been paid in sales tax as well, giving back to the city and state.

Tracy Turbak, Finance Director for the City of Sioux Falls, says in an official release that the numbers have proven that the PREMIER Center was a successful investment.

"We are absolutely thrilled with these financial results through this first six-month period. Our first projections nearly four years ago that this new venue would operate in the black were met with great skepticism by many. This financial report gives the skeptics more than a million reasons to become believers." - Tracy Turbak

The Denny Sanford PREMIER Center has hosted 94 events in six months, and has upcoming concerts featuring the likes of Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Motley Crue, Rod Stewart, The Eagles, and Ed Sheeran.
