Country music. It's a complex, ever expanding hard to describe genre of music. No explanation necessary here. The guy coming to town is Authentic. Country.

If you are familiar with hard times, prefer wide open country to city noise, if you love your Mama and Pancho and Lefty is a favorite song of yours, it's treat time.

Wednesday, June 14th Cody Jinks along with special guest Ward Davis will play The District in Sioux Falls. It's an all ages show. Tickets for the show go on sale Friday, April 7 at 12 noon.

I was first introduced to Cody Jinks music on a summer night listening to Radio Texas Live with Buddy Logan on Kickin' Country. I remember it well. It was a dark raining summer night and Loud and Heavy came on Kickin' Country. From the first note I was hooked.

Recently, Cody's been showing up on a lot of folks Facebook feed. His song, I'm Not The Devil. Earlier this year Jinks appeared on The Conan O'brien show and performed the song. Rolling Stone Magazine was impressed. They said;

Jinks, a Texas native who cut his teeth playing thrash metal, earned national recognition last year after years of touring and recording with I'm Not the Devil, which debuted at number four onBillboard's Top Country Albums Chart. "Everybody seems to be calling it a breakout record," he told Rolling Stone Country in November. "It's like my fifth record."
