It’s a final frantic push for Brandon Valley High School to finish first in the State Farm Insurance Celebrate My Drive campaign.

Tonight at midnight is the deadline to vote in a nationwide contest to bring the Band Perry to town for a special show.  Principal Gregg Talcott is pulling out all the stops in order to finish on top.

“We’re just looking for a couple minutes of people’s time to vote and give our students at Brandon Valley High School a great reward.  We’ve been sitting at either number 1 or 2 for the last couple of days and would like some help to get us on top.”

Selfish grab for money and a nationwide touring group?  Negative.  Sponsoring this campaign is State Farm Insurance who wants to encourage safe driving among teens.  2 eyes on the road, 2 hands on the wheel or “2N2” for short is the theme.

The top 5 vote getters in the contest will each receive $100,000 which will be apportioned toward driver safety, the Brandon Area Food Pantry and a distribution among the elementary, middle and high school according to Talcott.

To participate just takes a pledge to follow the “2N2” ethos.  Register at the State Farm Celebrate My Drive link here.

Stretching to great lengths to get this prize included students producing a “lip dub” video which you can see below to one of the Band Perry’s hits.

Good luck BVHS and please vote!
