Blake Shelton is moving on from his divorce to focus on the new season of The Voice, but that doesn't mean he's not still feeling the pain.

Shelton gave his first post-divorce interview to Entertainment Tonight to promote the upcoming ninth season of the hit reality singing competition, and he showed up on camera two days after his divorce with a plastic cup full of ice and "a little vodka," the singer admitted.

"I thought I'd go ahead and get started," he joked. "It's one of those weeks."

Shelton got back to work on the set of The Voice just days after he and Miranda Lambert announced their divorce on July 20 after four years of marriage. Despite how recent the news was, the "Gonna" singer was in good humor.

Brad Paisley has been revealed as the mentor for Team Blake in the upcoming season, and he was on hand to joke around with his friend.

"I'm afraid he's going to take my job," Shelton said, and Paisley couldn't help but tease him in reply, saying, "I come here and I'm not drunk — I think that's new."

"You're gonna have to work on that," Shelton said. "If you're gonna fit in around here, you're gonna have to start abusing yourself a little bit."

"I need to be a little less professional, maybe," Paisley conceded.

All joking aside, Shelton is pleased with the team members that he picked during the Blind Auditions, and he is intent upon taking home a fifth win this year.

"This is the team to get me there, first of all," he said. "I want the trophy bad. They don't hire me to be on here to lose, you know what I'm saying? I want to win this thing every season, and I want it for my kids that are on my team."
