It's a safe bet that there will be a lot of traffic heading East of Sioux Falls late Friday (July 28) afternoon and early evening. The travelers will be sprint car fans, and their destination: Jackson, Minnesota.

Jackson Motorplex is hosting what is a sprint car fan's dream. An event of nothing but sprints, and a big money purse for the drivers.

That means a lot of good cars and top drivers. With four classes of sprints, anybody with one will be there. Why would they pass up a chance to win this kind of money?

The 410 Outlaw Sprints Fueled by Casey’s General Store will pay $10,000 to the winner with the 24-car A Main paying $700 to start. I mean, you can win $1000 for just getting 15th place.

This is bringing cars from Missouri to Canada and from the West coast. Watch these guys hammer it on the big half mile that's made up of a racing surface prepared second to none.

The track is at the fairgrounds, the fair is going on at the same time, is there any way better to have fun on a Friday night? It's easy to get there. Take I-90 all the way.

There's four classes running Friday including 410, 360, 305 and non-wing sprints. See more.

The main gates open at 5:00 PM. Hot laps are scheduled for 7:30 PM. Additionally, there will be a driver autograph session underneath the main grandstand at 6:00 PM.

Tickets are $25 for adults, $22 for seniors 62 years old and older and $10 for students ages 13 to 18. Children ages 12 and younger get in free.

Local Casey’s General Stores have $5 off coupons that can be applied toward grandstand tickets.
