I don't know about you, but I'm always looking for something fun and unique to do. However, it can be a pain trying to browse the internet for events all over the city.

Well, I have you covered. Here are seven fun family events that you can experience this weekend! And the best part is that they're affordable.

    Twisted Nightmare Haunted House

    This spooky haunted house is put on by the Fraternal Order of Police, and I've heard only good things! If you're looking for a little fright this weekend, the Twisted Nightmare Haunted House is open 7-9:30 Thursday and 7-Midnight on Friday and Saturday. Location is: 2601 S. Carolyn Ave. in Sioux Falls. Tickets are $7, or if you bring a canned food item, $6.

    Sea and Sky Spooktacular

    This family-friendly evening is Friday night at the Sertoma Butterfly House and Marine Cove, located in Sertoma Park. From 6-8pm, you can come dressed up in costume and check out the intergalactic flight room, spooky aquariums, arts and crafts, and science experiments. There will even be superheroes in attendance! Tickets purchased in advanced are $10 for ages 13+, $7 for ages 3-12, and if you are a member, you only pay $3. There's an extra $2 if you don't pay in advance and pay at the door.

    Autumn Festival - Arts & Crafts Affair

    If you are into arts & crafts, this is the perfect event for you! The Autumn Festival is Friday-Sunday. It's full of food vendors, entertainment and of course arts and crafts! Come check out local talent and purchase some of your own. Tickets are $8 of adults, $7 for seniors, and free for kids 10 and under.

    The Secret Garden at Sioux Empire Community Theatre

    The Sioux Empire Community Theater is putting on another fantastic performance. See their rendition of 'The Secret Garden' 7pm Friday and Saturday or 2pm Sunday afternoon. Located at The Orpheum Theater in downtown Sioux Falls. This show will definitely not disappoint.

    Jay Owenhouse - The Authentic Illusionist

    This Saturday, check out the incomparable illusionist Jay Owenhouse at The Washington Pavillion. Jay's show: 'Dare to Believe' incorporates bengal tigers, his whole family, and risky magic tricks and storytelling. You will be impressed by his amazing illusions. Tickets begin at just $35.

    Volunteer Expo

    If you're looking to get involved in your community, this is your go-to spot. The Volunteer Expo is Saturday from 9am-noon at the Washington Pavillion. Local nonprofit organizations will be in attendance, and you can visit each one to learn about volunteer opportunities coming up in the area. It's always great to give back to the community!

    Hillcrest Church Craft Bazaar, Vendor Fair & Bake Sale

    The Hillcrest Church Craft Bazaar, Vendor Fair and Bake Sale is Saturday from 9am-3pm. Held for a great cause, all proceeds benefit under-resourced kids in the community. Located at 4301 E. 26th Street.
