You've got to hand it to the Sioux Falls Parks & Rec and Siouxland Libraries people! They are always coming up with great new ways to engage children and families in activities that are not only fun, but educational too.

Here is a perfect example: Water Wednesday Story Time is brand new this year and it combines two things most kids love; swimming and being told stories. Every Wednesday throughout the summer at two pools. The wonderful storytellers from our Siouxland Libraries will be in the sand play area at Laurel Oaks and the west side of the Kuehn Park Pool deck from 2:50 to 3:05 p.m. with a great story and a fun 15 minute break from swimming.

They'll have a different theme each week, no registration is required, and pool admission is your only cost. For other great summertime activity ideas for your family, click here and check out the Summer Activity guide here.
