Lack of success in predicting the results of the 2013 ACM Awards can be attributed to tight competition... or maybe underestimating the strength and popularity of artists like Luke Bryan. Perhaps we're just making excuses for ourselves after a less-than-super success rate at Sunday's show. Taste of Country readers also made predictions, and it's time to see who fared better.

This year's winner is the readers, who edged ToC staff by a score of 4 to 3. The big differences were the Single Record and Song of the Year categories. Readers correctly picked 'Over You' by Miranda Lambert to win both. Taste of Country correctly picked Jason Aldean to win Male Vocalist of the Year, and everyone was in agreement on two other awards.

There were four categories of the nine in which nobody picked the winner. How does this compare to previous award shows? Unfortunately, it's par for the course. ToC and readers both picked three winners at the 2012 CMA Awards, while ToC got four to readers' three at the 2012 ACM Awards. Hey, if this were baseball we'd all be millionaires.
