Sioux Falls Hit and Run Arrest
Thanks to an anonymous tip a suspect in an April hit and run accident was located and arrested.
On Thursday (August 10) Lydia Consuelo Torres, a 43-year-old Sioux Falls resident, was taken into custody and charged with multiple offences surrounding the hit and run.
While crossing Western Avenue a 44-year-old man was struck and injured by a white Buick LeSabre on April 20, 2017 at 10:30 PM. The driver sped away.
A tip led police to the suspect’s car and detectives were able to determine the driver was Torres.
A warrant was issued on Tuesday (August 8) for Hit and Run, No Driver’s License, No Insurance, Failure to Yield, and Allowing an Unlicensed Driver to Operate a Vehicle.
According to KDLT News the warrant carries a $1,500 cash bond.
