New information has been released in connection with a hit and run accident at 9th Street and Cliff Avenue in Sioux Falls. Two pedestrians were injured in the accident.

"Detectives were able to get an idea of the car that was involved through both video and also some car parts that were left at the scene," according to Sioux Falls Police Department Public Information Officer Sam Clemens.

"We believe the vehicle was a blue or purple car, either a 2005 to 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt or a 2007 to 2008 Pontiac G5. The car is going to be a two door car with a large spoiler on the trunk. It has some grill parts missing and possibly a broken headlight and possibly a broken windshield."

If you have information about the car, Clemens urges you to call police.

"If people see a vehicle or know somebody that has a car that has damage that matches we would like them to call police at the non-emergency number at 367-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 367-7007."

Clemens says one of the victims, a 31-year-old man, is improving. An update on the injured woman has not been released. Both victims are hospitalized.

The accident took place on Saturday (June 24).
