UPDATE: A Sioux Falls man was killed in a head-on collision on I-29 Saturday morning.

Sioux Falls police say a Sioux Falls man was on northbound I-29 when he lost control of his 1986 Crown Victoria, entered the median and continued into southbound traffic where he was hit on the passenger side, splitting his car in half and ejecting him from the car, sustaining fatal injuries. Both halves of his vehicle caught on fire.

The driver and passenger in the vehicle that hit the Crown Victoria were wearing seatbelts and sustained minor injuries. They were transported to the hospital.

The name of the victim has not been released.
