Burger King Buys Popeye's - 'That'll Be $1.8 Billion at the Next Window, Please'

Burger King's parent company, Restaurant Brands International Inc., has agreed to purchase the famous Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen franchise for cash. $1.8 billion and some change to be exact.

According to Business Insider, Popeye's is one of the world's largest chicken restaurants with over 2,600 restaurants in the United States.

Popeye's fans need not worry about any recipe changes. They've been serving Louisiana chicken the same way for 45 years - I wouldn't think anything would change now.
