Bruce, South Dakota Man Killed in Weekend Rollover

A man from Bruce died early Saturday in a rollover four miles west of Bruce, in Brookings County.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol says 37-year-old Brian Edward Cochran was westbound on a rural road just before 5:30am when his SUV left the roadway on a curve.

The vehicle struck a post, vaulted an access road and rolled.

Cochran was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A six-year-old boy who was a passenger was wearing a seatbelt and had minor injuries.
