Are Flushable Wipes REALLY Flushable? Nope
Cue deep-voiced movie trailer guy: "In a world with no toilet paper..."
Panic-stricken shoppers couldn't load their cart fast enough when the media screamed, "The toilet paper is almost gone!" Some bought more than they needed and it started a supply and demand problem.
Some have moved on and found wipes instead. But even if the packaging says "flushable"...is it really flushable? It turns out, not really as the plumbing problems they cause are on the rise.
Consumer.org performed a test using toilet paper vs. wipes and the results are amazing. The video below is a good reminder that wipes do not really break down...even after 10 - 20 hours. Avoid a costly plumbing visit and turmoil for the city's sewer system by flushing only toilet paper.
