SIOUX FALLS - On Monday, the Sioux Falls Police Department conducted a compliance check of 27 off-sale alcohol establishments within the Sioux Falls city limits. Of the 27 establishments checked, 2 made a sale to a person under the age of 21.

The business’s that made sales were:

  • Casey’s General Store at 701 S Sycamore Avenue
  • Casey’s General Store at 3236 S Sycamore Avenue

The clerks that sold to a minor were issued a citation for furnishing alcohol to a person 18-20 years old with a mandatory court appearance required.

Businesses making sales to underage persons may face fines, suspensions, or loss of their malt beverage licenses.

In an effort to protect the young people of our community, the Sioux Falls Police Department will continue to do random alcohol compliance checks of all off-sale establishments within the city limits.
