Which TV Show Are South Dakotans Binge Watching During CVOID-19 Outbreak?
Thanks to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic canceling a host of activities and forcing many of us to work from home for weeks at a time, finding constructive things to do became a real issue.
But when in doubt, turn to the old stand by - the TV.
CableTV.com surveyed nearly 7,000 Americans to see which shows were occupying the most interest from the beginning of March until the end of April.
They then analyzed Google Trends data to see which shows were the subject of the most internet searches in each state.
In South Dakota, a pair of shows emerged as the COVID-19 binge-watch favorites.
The Mount Rushmore State was the only place in the country that couldn't get enough of this show.
Neck and neck for the top spot in South Dakota was Shameless, the Showtime series about a poor, dysfunctional family of six kids being raised by a single father.
Michigan, Wisconsin, and Maine join South Dakota as big Shameless fans.
Elsewhere in the country, the old guard is still popular.
Eleven different states (California, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts,
New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Texas, and Virginia) were experiencing Friends all over again.
Rick and Morty, The Office, This Is Us, Law and Order SVU, and Gilmore Girls were also getting a lot of attention during the 'shelter at home' days.
