
Watertown Woman Charged with Attempted Murder of Husband
An incident last week that saw a man was shot in the face has resulted in a woman facing serious charges.
According to Dakota News Now, 65-year-old Sherri Tormanen of Watertown pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to charges of attempted first degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon, possessing a loaded firearm while intoxicated and committing a felony while armed.
On August 4th, Watertown police were called to a home for a reported gunshot wound. As it turned out, the wounded man was Tormanen's husband who had been shot in the face multiple times with a .22 caliber pistol.

Tormanen's is being held on a $100,000 cash bond at the Codington County jail.
Her next court appearance is scheduled for September 15th. The trial is set for September 23rd.
