With all the buzz on basketball as we close in on championships, and brackets I thought we could take a trip down memory lane.

It was January of 2017, and I came across an eight grader who plays basketball like a grown man.

As the fast break unfolds keep your eyes on number 32, and yes the slow motion goodness is included.

According to ktiv.com six-foot-six Mathew Mors was averaging 25 points a game that year for the Bucks while playing his second year on varsity.

It took some of us our full high school journey to fully develop.

Some of us still struggle with making lay ups, and don't even consider asking us to try making a lay up with our non dominate hand.

Then there are athletes you see take to the court, field, or mat, and they are playing on an entirely different level at their young age.

I turned 40 this year, and believe any day now the sports gods will bless me with dunking ability.

Until then we will have to keep watching young athletes hitting their strides in highlight videos like these.
